Hmm.

I don't really know what to do about this blog. Cheesy as it sounds, I don't feel particularly connected to the Emily that wrote a lot of these depressing posts, which are a prime example of what not to write if you don't want your blog to turn into a virtual scene-kid diary. Plus it seems to be being spammed pretty heavily, and there's nothing more discouraging to have 13 comments and then realize that they are all in chinese characters, have links to sketchy websites, or are just straight-up insults. So maybe I'll give up the whole blogging thing, or start a new one at least. (If I do I'll be sure to let ya'll know). But one thing I do know is that turning my back on writing for so long was a mistake. If you don't write regularly, or at least when you feel overwhelmed, I'd highly suggest it. Especially journaling. No one's going to see or care, but you can learn so much about yourself and your problems as you look back on your hectic rants in your Moleskin. Just now I meant to document a fun trip to Galveston, just so that I would be able to recall all the details later, and ended up discovering a good deal about myself. So I'm not sure about blogging, but everyone should write. I don't know of a more therapeutic activity.

Andy showed me this and it's beautiful.

If only they could see
If only they had been here
They would understand
How someone could have chosen
To go the length I've gone
To spend just one day riding
Holding on to you
I never thought it would be this clear
